First you need to have music saved onto your intenal storage. Then you goto: programs-select mp3 trimmer from your programs-tap menu- internal storage- music. you will see all the tracks you have put on. tap menu open menu open until the track appears in the trimmer box. You can then either trim it or tap menu and save to ring tone folder. And hopefully you will know wher to find that folder. As for setting it as an alarm, i dont need to. i have a 2 legged  2 year old monster that gets me up every morn.. Sorry!
